As a Quality Controller, you are responsible for checking the quality of incoming and outgoing flowers and plants. You play a crucial role in ensuring the freshness, appearance, and compliance of the assortment with established quality standards and customer agreements.

Key responsibilities

  • Carrying out visual and physical quality checks on incoming and outgoing products (flowers and plants);
  • Identifying deviations in quality, shelf life, damage, sizing, or presentation;
  • Recording findings in quality reports and internal systems;
  • Communicating quality findings with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams;
  • Contributing ideas for improvement and supporting the optimisation of quality processes;
  • Assisting with handling complaints towards suppliers or customers;
  • Maintaining sample registrations and, where applicable, performing spot checks on products;
  • Checking labelling, trolleys, packaging, and batch coding.

What you bring

  • A qualification at least at MBO level, preferably in horticulture, logistics, or quality management;
  • Demonstrable affinity with flowers and/or plants (knowledge of varieties is an advantage);
  • Experience in a similar role within a wholesale, auction, or production environment is a plus.
