Hoek group is an international partner in the purchase and sale of flowers and plants. Hoek group is located in Rijnsburg, the Netherlands and is a family owned business with over 40 years of experience in the industry. Globally, the Hoek group business has expanded from its Dutch origins as Hoek commission and Hoek wholesale to Hoek flowers. Outside the Netherlands, Hoek flowers houses local consolidators in the UK, Asia, the US, Germany and Singapore.
Hoek group has diversified its sourcing to direct Hoek entities, in addition to the traditional sourcing of flowers from European countries. A step to ensure that products can be found all year round with direct logistics lines from South America, South Africa and Kenya.

Hoek flowers delivers fresh flowers and plants worldwide directly to florists and companies, with a smooth shopping experience from start to finish. Through the webshop, customers have 24/7 access to an extensive range, which is delivered to more than 52 countries. International teams in Asia, Europe and the United Kingdom take care of sales and service.

This team of purchasing specialists serves various customer types within the Hoek Group and ensures that there is a 24/7 choice of 4500 different flowers directly from the grower and 8000 types of plants.

Flower Trade Zwirs has expanded its assortment with an impressive selection of imported flowers from South America, ensuring year-round availability and consistent quality. The partnership, aimed at supermarkets and customers with large volume needs, delivers larger quantities of (spray) carnations, snapdragons and seasonal flowers to customers throughout Europe.

From pen & paper to robots that bring flowers to you. How did it all start?
In 1979, 17-year-old Peter Hoek and his brothers opened a flower shop called ‘Fleurado’ in the center of the village of Katwijk. But, after five years, Peter wanted something else. The young entrepreneur sold the shop, bought a refrigerated truck and drove all the way to the South of France, where he started selling Dutch flowers to French wholesalers and florists.
After driving all the way to France every week for a few years, Peter realized that returning to the Netherlands with an empty truck was not very profitable. He discovered that not only in the Netherlands growers produced beautiful flowers, but that the climate in the South of France and Italy was perfect for growing beautiful flowers that buyers ‘back home’ had never heard of…
